Bruce's Journey
September, 2017: Blueberry was tagged just off the coast of the island of Sembawa!
From Abam, who tagged Bruce and Blueberry: He’s a decent 5.79m male shark with 37cm claspers and is tagged with tag 168182. We saw Bruce on the 3rd field day, where he was already caught in the net when we arrive to the bagan in early morning. He’s very calm when tagged, and almost didn’t move while we drill the holes on its fin. Interestingly enough, when we are getting ready to tag Bruce, we saw another shark swimming around the bagan, and when I checked it, it was Blueberry! I’m so excited about this and decided to quickly tag Bruce and let him go, to try to catch Blueberry. And it turns out the luck was on our side!
